Euro-Namibian music festival Windhoek 2018

EUNIC Namibia

This project’s goal is to establish a music festival with a strong educational component, through a series of workshops and master classes for local and international musicians as well as other performing artists in Namibia, offered at the College of the Arts, Windhoek’s most important music education institution. The festival, bringing relevant European musicians from the genres hip-hop, soul and funk together with Namibian musicians, is conceived as a platform to develop artists’ capacities, help them gain key industry knowledge and facilitate exchanges of creativity and skills with their European counterparts. The cluster intends to establish the festival as a yearly activity, with the long-term objective of handing it over to a local arts institution such as the National Arts Council in Namibia.
