Croatia
European Visions Competition

Croatia will host the EU Capital of Culture and the Presidency of the EU in 2020.

This coincidence opens the opportunity to create a platform to reach young Croatian audiences and make them part of the most relevant dialogues taking place during this period. The Hay Festival, WOM@RTS and the European Capital of Culture Rijeka 2020 and the Short Stories Festival will host a special edition of the Hay Festival in Rijeka to celebrate the contribution of women to European literature, science and arts. Based on the texts produced by the European women thinkers under the Rijeka 2020-Hay Festival EUROPA 28 project, The EUNIC Croatia project is building on this opportunity to promote the engagement of young Croatian in conversations.

This project organises a competition for young Croatians to formulate and present their visions of the future of Europe and a series of workshops prior the Festival to: make accessible the ideas of these European Women; help the participants build their own ideas; convey their visions in an artistic video format.
