EU National Institutes for Culture - EUNIC

Report on the current state of the partnership between EUNIC clusters and EU Delegations

The Joint Communication drafted in 2016 and since adopted by both the Council of Ministers and the European Parliament proposed an ‘enhanced cooperation with Cultural Institutes through a new form of partnership between the EEAS, commission services, national cultural institutes and their umbrella organisation (EUNIC)’. This led to the signing of the administrative agreement between EUNIC and the EU, in May 2017.

The report published in July 2018 explores the current state of the partnerships between fourteen EU Delegations and EUNIC Clusters. Quantitative and qualitative research was conducted by EUNIC Global using a combination of online surveys, structured interviews and country visits as well as the information available in the office archives.  The next phase of the pilot activities will be delivered according to the lessons learned and the recommendations in the report.
