The Exchange Programme for Young RussianCurators has been going on for five years and is one of EUNIC Moscow’s most successful projects. Each participating country from the cluster selects a hosting institution, which will receive a young Russian curator for an internship. During their internship, each curator develops a concept of a project that is presented at a final event held in Moscow. The winner is chosen by a jury of experts and gets a grant to fund the curatorial project developed. This edition will focus on the relationship between contemporary art and the cultural heritage surrounding it: preserving cultural heritage is also about questioning it from new and contemporary points of view, thus proving its relevance for next generations. This project not only helps young Russian curators gain expertise and knowledge in contemporary art, it also allows the cluster to create long lasting relationships with Russian cultural practitioners and cultural institutions.
