This project revolves around 2 main activities with the overall objectives of highlighting the richness of EU-Turkeyintercultural dialogue, connecting academic research and practice of cultural relations as well as strengthening relationships between the two clusters and localUniversities and experts. The first activity will be a conference in Istanbul on identity and culture drivers in the EU-Turkey relations, in connection with the EU-funded project FEUTURE (H2020). This conference will include a presentation of research results, a policy challenge session analysing the past initiatives for EU-Turkey collaboration and possible future projects, as well as an expert session on images of Europe and Turkey in literature and the arts.Secondly, the project will include a study on Ankara’s architecture of European origin conducted by an architect who will produce an extensive index of the buildings and their architects to preserve this part of Turkey’s heritage that is at risk of disappearing. Once the activities completed, the two clusters will review their strategy in the light of the project’s findings.
